September 7

Couldn't even make it through all of his pizza. Cameron woke up super early this morning because he had a runny nose and he was pretty tired towards the end of the day. He seems to be fine otherwise, and a few times a year he goes through 2-3 days of super runny noseness. I think the poor little guy got his mommy's bad allergies.

Cameron spent the night at NanaGrampy's house tonight and whenever he stays there over night I get a picture of Cameron at about 10:30 for a bed check. It's nice seeing a picture of him sleeping right before we go to sleep when he isn't here since we always check in on him before we go to sleep here at home.

September 5

First thing in the morning sitting up some more. He can't get there himself yet but he seems to really enjoy sitting up and can stay steady for several minutes at a time. Look how proud of himself he is.

September 4

After dinner Mee Maw and Grandpa Jim came over to visit for a little bit. I tried sitting Carter up by himself with nothing supporting him and it worked! Hooray! I caught some good pictures of him after they left.

September 3

Yesterday Carter couldn't sit up by himself at all, I tried to prop him up a few times and it just wasn't working out yet. Tonight when we went up for bed I sat him up with the boppy lightly resting right behind him. He found daddy's face and just sat there and made cute smiley faces at him for a few minutes.

September 2

Sleepy boy taking his usual before bed nap.

September 1

Today was Austin's 4th birthday party, so we dropped Caleb off at the airport for a quick trip to Nashville and then the boys and I headed over to the party. Cameron was so excited to go to Austin's party now that they seemed to be instant best friends, he even told his teacher about it at school yesterday. Here are the silly boys blowing their noise maker's at each other.

Throughout the school year for Cameron they have different themes that they work on in his class each for a few weeks at a time. On his classes website the teacher puts up a list of books that you can read with your child at home to help reinforce what they are talking about in their class. For their first theme of the school year two of the books listed were available at the library but all the copies were checked out. Next week they are starting a new theme, so today after school we went to the library to check out some books and four four of them! Since it's so close to Hot Dog on a Stick I had to get a lemonade too!

Since Cameron and Austin had such a fun time together last night I decided to take Cameron back to Disneyland today because Austin and his parents were going back for a quick little trip again today. They had a great time again and we only stayed about 3 hours since it was pretty warm. Cameron and I were driving home on the 57 north and right at the 60 interchange there was an accident which had caused some traffic and also meant the lane I was in was closed. As everyone started merging over there was a woman driving a pickup truck behind me paying attention to the lane we were to be merging into instead of me. So, she rear ended us. It didn't feel that hard, I don't even think Cameron realized it had happened until I said something. Everyone was ok, we pulled over to the center divider and she was very apologetic. A couple firemen that were up at the original accident walked back to make sure everyone was ok and to have us pull off the freeway since we weren't in a very safe spot. They stopped traffic for us and we got off at the closest exit to exchange our information. Pretty early the next morning her insurance already called to say they were accepting liability, so now we just have to get the car fixed up.

August 29

Caleb had a minimum day at school today with no staff meetings so he decided we should head down to Disneyland for the evening. We got there about 30 minutes before the Pixar parade was due to start and found an awesome bench in the shade. Carter and I saved some seats while Cameron and Caleb went on a ride.

After the parade we had some friends that had been planning on heading down as well. They have a son named Austin who Cameron had met before but it was when they were much younger. We met up with them and had dinner and then let the two boys go on some rides together in Bugs Land. They had such a fun time together and ran around the rest of the night holding hands. Here they are waiting in line for a ride.

The last couple of days all of the buildings in our community are being power washed in preparation for all of the trim being repainted. Today they were spraying our building and Cameron wanted to watch the men working while they were in our courtyard. He pulled his chair up to the window and watched them out the blinds like this the whole time they were out there.

August 27

This morning before it got too hot the boys and I went for a nice long walk around our complex. At the end of our walk Cameron got to spend some time at the playground.

For lunch today I made Cameron and I quesadilla's. whenever we go to Chipotle he gets a quesadilla with beans and rice, so he asked for that today while I was making his lunch. I was heating him up some beans and rice and he said he wanted me to put leaves in his rice. I was finally able to figure out he meant cilantro like the rice at Chipotle and luckily I had some in the fridge.

August 26

Swimming at NanaGrampy's house. Carter seems to really enjoy being in the pool. He just sits in his little baby float, sucks his thumb and relaxes.

August 25

This morning when Cameron got dressed he wanted to wear his Big Bro shirt and he wanted me to dress Carter in his Lil' Bro shirt. When I put Carter's onesie on I realized he was pretty close to outgrowing it so I thought I should try to catch some cute pictures of them wearing them together while I still had the chance.
