April 11

Here is where Carter sleeps in our room. We borrowed this Arms Reach Cocoon from Auntie Shen, which is very similar to the Amby Baby that Cameron slept in for the first few months. It sits right next to the bed on my side so that I can see him when I wake up, and get him quickly when he wakes up for his nightly feeding. We swaddle him for bed every night because being wrapped up all tight helps him to sleep so much better.

April 10

Carter got another super fun gift from Auntie, Uncle Chris & Aaron. Caleb couldn't be more excited for Carter to wear this Yoda onesie, and is very eager for it to fit him.

April 9

Carter chilling in his new little newborn lounger from GranMama and GrandPapa. It must be pretty comfy because he has fallen asleep in it almost every time I have put him in it.

April 8

Happy Easter!
I have a lot of picture from today. Easter at home, Easter Mee Maw's house and Wendy's Birthday/Graduation party at Auntie Kathy's house. Phew, busy day!

Here are Cameron (left) and Carter's (right) Easter Baskets. Cameron got a little bit of Easter candy and then the Easter Bunny always gets him a pair of new pj's and one fun toy. Carter didn't get any candy but he did get a few new onesie's and a little stuffed dinosaur.

Cameron got a cute little Evil Dr. Porkchop toy, from Toy Story 3. He's a big Hamm that you fly around, and can drop a barrel out of like in the movie, then you open up his head and there's a little Hamm inside flying the big Hamm. He was super excited because he doesn't have any Hamm toys from Toy Story and he's asked for one several times.

Cameron after finding an Easter Egg on Daddy's desk. Caleb seems to think the Easter Bunny was still in 2 1/2 year old Cameron mode, so maybe the eggs can be hidden a little more cleverly next year since he found them all in about 20 seconds flat.

When we got to Mee Maw's house Uncle Aaron had hidden some eggs in the front yard for Cameron and London to find. They were so cute out there looking around and picking them up.

Here they are with there baskets full of eggs, we couldn't get either one of them to look at anybody's camera.

Carter took about a 3 hour nap while we were there so Mam Maw got to hold him for quite a while and he was as comfy as could be.

Cameron and Mady riding on a little scooter thing in the back yard at Auntie Kathy's house. They played really well with each other today and were so cute running all over the yard with each other.

Look at that delicious dessert! These were brownies with a peanut butter pudding filling topped with hard chocolate and bits of peanut butter cups. Oh my goodness, so good! I wasn't feeling too good about myself though since I may have been the only person to eat the whole thing!

April 7

Today was SCPA Championship Finals at Cal State San Bernardino. The last local show of the season! During the dinner break the SCPA Board gathered for their yearly picture. From left to right is; Jim, Mike, Caleb, Jenny, Larney, and Ken. Ike was missing from the picture because he left to go pick something up and by the time he was going to be back everyone else would be busy warming up their groups. Carter and I made an appearance for a couple of hours so some people could meet him and also so I could catch a couple of performances. In case you are wondering yes that is a new grey suit that Caleb is wearing. I got it for him for Christmas, and I think he looks so nice in it!

April 6

Today we tried some tummy time on the boppy. He seems to like this a lot more than flat on his tummy for now, and he does better picking up his head and looking around as opposed to just leaving it smashed flat into the floor like he often does.

Look at those strong neck muscles!

Today is Auntie Shen's birthday so we went over to Mee Maw's house for some birthday dinner. Tonight London was a little more eager to hold Carter than she was the last time she saw him.

Here are the two kiddies playing a a giant bag that Shenan got a present in.

April 5

Sometime during the week before Carter was born I had a craving for peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, but I just didn't get around to making them. But I finally got around to it today. I found a recipe on Nestle's website (which is the recipe I use for regular chocolate chip cookies with some variations) so I thought I would give it a try, substituting almond flour and splenda for the regular flour and sugar like I usually do. Oh they were so delicious. Cameron was very eager to have one after he ate a very good dinner tonight.

April 4

I'm not proud to admit it but this is the only picture I have from today. Every year at SCPA championships the medals for each class get put in one of these baskets and then they all get placed out on tables for the awards ceremony. Carter and I went to Michael's today to buy the 25 baskets needed for finals on Saturday. I took this picture to send to Caleb while he was at school making sure they were the right ones.

April 3

Today Cameron and I dyed some Easter Eggs. He was very excited and used the little egg crayon to draw something on every single egg. Most of it was just scribbly stuff since he couldn't see what he was drawing.

Then tonight he got to open a special box that was delivered just for him.

He got a super cool Toy Story backpack from Auntie, Uncle Chris & Aaron. They got him this special big brother present and as you can see I don't think he could have been more excited.

Here he is wearing it. He looks like such a big boy with it on it made me cry thinking about him going to school.

Up at the top of it where you see a tag his name is even embroidered! He loves it so much and wore it around the house for the rest of the night.

April 2

Today Cameron drew this picture of his monster toy (see post from April 1) all by himself. He is getting so good at drawing things and writing his name. I'm so proud of that little guy.

April 1

Cameron spent last night with my parents since Caleb wasn't home. On Sunday he spent the majority of his day playing with this cute little monster that I believe was a woot at some point. You can record anything onto it and then when you press a button it repeats whatever you recorded. Right now it's Aaron's voice saying, "Hi Cameron!" and Cameron just loves it. The batteries need to be replaced so while he was waiting for new batteries to be delivered (some goofy specialty batteries) Cameron got to use that little screw driver to unscrew the lid to the battery compartment and then put it back on. From what I understand he spent the majority of his day doing just that.

March 31

Today I took a picture of my rings because I finally was able to put them back on comfortably. Caleb was down in Temecula for SCPA championship prelims so I was excited to take this picture with my phone so I could send it to him.

March 30

Today out of nowhere I had a craving for a chocolate bunny. I don't know what it is about these that makes them so much better than plain old chocolate but they are. Caleb had to run to Vons to get something so he also got me a delicious chocolate bunny. If you can't eat one of these around Easter, when else can you?

Tonight we gave Carter his first real bath since his umbilical cord stump finally fell off a couple days ago. He didn't really seem to enjoy it as you can tell.

He's even cute when he's crying. I am pretty sure this is the same shirt I was wearing for Cameron's first bath. I didn't realize it until afterwards and it was purely a coincidence.

March 29

Caleb and I don't usually play the Lottery, but with a jackpot this big everyone has to right?? Caleb sent me this picture after school and said it was the Kelly Never Has To Go Back To Work Plan. It was nice to think about that for a night, but I think all of you already know we didn't win. Oh well.

March 28

Oh my goodness! Today in the mail we got what has to be the best bib of all time! This is a present for Carter from Auntie, Uncle Chris and Aaron. Kim and I (and I suppose our spouses too!) love Lord of the Rings so I really can't think of a better or cuter gift than this.

I was trying so so hard to get a good picture of Carter wearing his new bib with his eyes open and this is the best one I got. I will have to try again in a few weeks or so.

March 27

Tonight was our first cousin night since Carter was born. Auntie Shen hadn't seen him in about a week and a half so I was glad they were able to come over. London wasn't sure interested in Carter tonight, she mostly just wanted to play with Cameron.

March 26

Cameron loves riding his tricycle around the house, and tonight he put Mickey on his lap so he could ride with him. He used to just ride it back and forth from the front door to the garage door, but he just started doing this thing where he just keeps riding in circles in front of the bathroom. While he is riding around and around he sings "going to the left, going to the left" or "going to the right, going to the right" depending on which direction he's going in. Sometimes he gets the two mixed up but he's pretty good at telling his right hand from his left (thanks Uncle Aaron!) and knowing which direction he's going in.

March 25

Cameron imposed cuddling on the floor, so far he is being such a nice sweet big brother to Carter.

March 24

My parents came over again tonight to make me dinner while Caleb isn't home. We had a roasted chicken and some mashed potatoes. Grampy bought one more potato than we needed so Cameron got to use it to make a real Mr. Potato Head. He thought it was the funniest thing to put Mr.'s parts in a real potato and was so proud of himself for putting him all together.

March 23

Cameron really really likes helping to buckle Carter into his swing. He also gets to be in charge of turning the swing and the music on for Carter while he is in there.

March 22

During the day sometimes for a nap I will put Carter down on his side when I am staying right there with him so he doesn't always lay on the back of his head. I love how he pulls his hands up to his face when he's sleeping on his side, he looks so comfy.

March 21

Tonight after dinner Carter had some more tummy time. We are trying to give him tummy time later in the evening because then it helps make him more tired for bedtime. Cameron like to participate with Carter in tummy time. Here he is trying to interact with him.

Look how giant Cameron looks laying down right next to Carter! Oh my goodness when did my boy get so big?

March 20

I was very glad to have gotten several good shots of Caleb and Carter with his eyes open. They got in some good cuddle time tonight after Cameron went to bed.

What a cute little face he's making, looks like someone is looking for some food!

March 19

Today I put Carter in his swing for the first time. He really liked it and even took a little nap in there. Turns out he hasn't liked it as much again as he did this day. So far every other time I have put him in there he hasn't lasted more than a few minutes before he starts crying.

Cute little feet.

March 18

Carter had some tummy time for the first time today. He's really not a fan of tummy time yet, and you can't tell it here but his little neck is already so strong!

We got these beautiful flowers yesterday from the WGI percussion administrators. It was so huge and so pretty and they smelled sooo good. You could smell them wherever you were in the house.

March 17

Carter sleeping in his pack & play in this cute warm and cuddly monkey sleeper. This was his first rainy day so I thought this would be the perfect warm and cozy outfit for him to wear.

Cameron checking on Carter while he sits with Grampy for a little while. Caleb was at a WGI regional just down the street today so my parents came over in the evening and my mom made a very yummy dinner.
