Tonight is the SCPA show at Rancho High School. Since it's so close we are having a little get together after the show is over. We're expecting probably around 30 people, so it's about to get real crowded in this house. I am very excited because this also gave me an opportunity to use my new Crock Pot Trio that I got for Christmas from Deb & Jim. On the left is southwest dip, little smokies in the center, and a hot cheesy spinach artichoke dip on the right (minus the artichokes because after trying for about 15 minutes, and literally straining every muscle in my body I couldn't get the stupid jar open).
I was also looking forward to lighting my wall candle thingies. They don't get lit often, so I thought tonight would be a perfect night for it.

Dinner tonight, Asian Lettuce Wraps. Yummy yummy.
And now for some updates on the little mans potty training. Saturday night after Cameron's bath he sat on his potty chair, like he usually does now, and he sat there for a long time, and once he was done there was a lot of pee in his toilet. Sunday morning we woke up and were getting ready for our day upstairs. Cameron walked up to me and asked me to take his jammies off so he could sit on his potty chair. Just about a minute after he sat down he went potty! Finally tonight I was getting him ready for bed and changing his diaper. As soon as I got his clean diaper on he said, "Mommy! I sit a potty chair!" So I took his diaper back off and he went into his bathroom to sit on his chair again, and went potty right away! He seems to be getting better at feeling when he has to go ahead of time, and he gets so excited when his potty chair sings him the potty song. More to come...

Several years ago when our good friend Ken helped Caleb build his awesome desk we were planning on taking him to a really nice dinner to thank him. We never went. Then a couple days after Christmas this year, Ken came over to help Caleb install my new TV above my bathtub. So I really wanted to make the dinner we owed to him a priority. Ken has never been to Lawry's, a real shame, especially for someone who loves a good piece of meat. So tonight Caleb, Ken and I went to Lawry's for dinner, and like always it did not disappoint. Here is a picture of the best salad ever! So delicious.
At dinner we had our first ever male server at Lawry's. The servers have always been women, but they were recently sued, so now they have female and male servers. Our waiter was fantastic, and he informed us that they have started selling the bottles of dressing on the restaurant again after they stopped several years ago. So here we are, home from our great dinner, with 2 bottles of Lawry's dressing. I wonder how long it'll last.

This is a cool piano app that Caleb put on the iPad for Cameron. He likes playing the piano at NanaGrampy's house, so we thought he would have fun with it. On Sunday I was playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on it, but Cameron didn't seem too interested in it. All by himself tonight he pulled up the piano app and started playing the piano and singing Twinkle at the same time. Of course he wasn't playing it right but it was so cute that he was trying. I started to show him again how to play it right by telling him what letters to press on the keys, and he was doing a pretty good job. He should have it down in no time!

Cameron loves taking baths. He usually takes one every other night or so, but every night when it's time to go upstairs to bed I say "Cameron" and he always responds with a, "baaaaath time?" crooked head, raised eyebrows and all. So here is after coloring some with his bath crayons, wiping off all the crayon marks with his foot. I guess there isn't anything he won't try at least once right? Such a goofball.

Well... we bought an iPad tonight. Cameron really loves playing on Grampy's, there are so many great apps for little kids. There are puzzles, matching games, flash cards, alphabet and shapes practice. We want Cameron to be very comfortable with technology as he gets older, and this does away with the need to buy a portable dvd player for him as we can load his movies right onto this for him to watch if we are traveling or something. So, here he is checking out the box, wondering why the buttons don't work.

Today is super bowl day, and we went over to NanaGrampy's house to watch the game. Shortly after we got there it was nap time for Cameron. I don't take many pictures of Cameron sleeping, because I am always afraid to wake him up. Today I had my little compact camera with me, and on that camera I can change the settings so there is no noise when you take a picture. Here he is sleeping up against the gate at the door, looking so peaceful.

Today Cameron went to the SCPA show at Colony High School with Caleb. Caleb has been very excited to take Cameron to some shows this year, and Cameron was a very good boy. We got him 2 little SCPA shirts that look just like the shirts that all the SCPA board member wear. He looked so cute and was a big hit.
Here he is with his own little badge, trying to clip a pen to it just like he saw his daddy did.
This is also one of the reasons we wanted Cameron to have a wagon. Caleb packed Cameron and all his activities for the day up in his wagon, and he really like riding in it.

Tonight we were going to go to dinner at P.F. Chang's, just to have a nice family dinner out. While we were getting ready leave after I got home from work, Cameron was running and fell face first onto the tile. His teeth tore his lip up pretty good, and he was pretty upset. We decided it would be best to stay home and Caleb picked us up some Chipotle. Here are Cameron and Caleb getting some cuddle time in on the couch, with his little swollen lip.
